Hi
I have been running on this version for a few weeks. This version also made the stepper noise level a little lower

me too, however, I did not notice anything about noise... well, I have dampers....
My json file if it can help.... just remember to check it fits your setup.

Does this version still use configuration.h ?

Yes, it do use the configuration.h
There is some new options as far as I have noticed. But I turned up the frequens on the signals to the stepper motors, then the noise level from the printer dropped a little.

So would I be able to just use the json file? I won't need the configuration.h?
If anyone can share the entire Firmware pack I would be so grateful!
My mission is to get the height-map/z-mapping working in Repetier.

Use the json to generate the full firmware through the config generator on repetier website.
EDIT : I believe there is a short section at begining of configuration.h that is not impacted by the config tool, this section gives the currents for your steppers, and the precision to use.
By default precisions are at 8th of step, I changed it to 16th of step.

Thank you! I used the file and changed a few pins around.
I downloaded the whole firmware pack and will give it a try

If you'd like some help, you might want to give more details than that.

One thing I had to change from installing the original Rostock MAX v2 version to the 0.92.8 version is that you need to have the latest arduino IDE with the latest lib's installed. then I vent on configuratet the firmware with the configartion tool on repetiers site. thenit compiled without problems.

I have been running 0.92.8 for about 2 weeks now. It was a bear to get going. The online config tool does not work correctly. It took some time and manual changes to the config file but I got it up and running.
Here is my config file. ( I de-activated watchdog as I was having far to much trouble with it)
It appears to be a complete re-write and MatterControl has problems with it. I have notified the MatterControl tech support about it. I got this response from them.
"It looks like this is an issue with the latest version of Repetier. After it receives a command prepended with a line number, it requires line numbers on all subsequent commands. We are investigating how to deal with this."
you should look through it to make changes to match your machine.

Just to follow up. I loaded your firmware/config onto my v1 Max, and experienced the same issues. The bug has been noted and we're looking into a fix for MC.
