Hello all,

I just installed my PEEK fan and I am certain that I got the right wire pair, but when the hot end temp starts rising, the PEEK fan does nothing! I don't have any clue about what I did, if anyone can help that would be awesome!!

Thanks!

Do you have current on the wires? Switched + and - ? My fan wouldn't even turn backwards when I got the plus and minus switched.

Hi DeltaCon,

I have checked the wires and they are indeed correct, and the HEAT 1 is getting 12 v to it. I still have no idea what is wrong.

Thanks,

Give the fan a manual couple of spins. If it's not smooth, either the bearing is toast, or something is interfering. Likely a string from the holder, or the holder being a bit too snug. Also, try swapping the polarity of the fan and give it another shot. If that doesn't help, then I suggest you remove it from your printer, and use a yankee'd computer PSU to test it (paper-clip shorting the green and a ground lead), and then connect a yellow and a black lead to the fan (12V+ and ground)

I took the fan out of the fan shroud and it started running, so I will sand the fan shroud down and hopefully it will work.
