Hi,

I'm from the North of The UK and I've just bought a SeeMeCNC Rostock Max V2 :D

It should be arriving tomorrow maybe Thursday.

This is my first 3D printer, and it's coming in kit form.

I'm a mechanical design engineer by trade and a 3D cad man through and through, I've my own workshop (manual lathe and mill) and I built my own CNC conversion for a manual milling machine a few years back using a Gecko g540 which worked superbly after a lot of learning, tweaking and so on.

Suffice to say, I'm a tinkerer but, - any vital advice before I get into it ?!?!

Thanks in advance, I'm afraid you might be hearing a lot more from me

Welcome to the forum!
With your background you will most likely have few problems building the printer.
My best tip is to download the latest manual at http://download.seemecnc.com/rostockmax ... dition.pdf

Some users have built the machine only to discover that the large round pieces are upside down, etc.
Check every step and make sure that the pieces are oriented correctly and your build will be great!
Happy building and thanks for purchasing a Rostock Max V2!
