Software upload problem to Rambo

Has anyone else encountered a problem when trying to get the software onto the Rostock Max v2.
I have finally completed the assembly and put all the wiring harnesses onto the Rambo board.
I have the Arduino application n my computer and USB cable is in place.
I ran the EEPROM-clear program. When I upload the Repetier.ino the program appears to goe through onto the board, the yellow light glows, blinking rapidly during the upload.
Then nothing. My LED board is lit, but with 2 blank lines. No information. The yellow light blinks slowly.
The power is normal, Green light is on. The fan I soldered to the board is running. The LED display, is illumnated just no information.

I have repeated these steps multiple times. i have rechecked every single connection. All terminals are lined up as best I can see. The ribbon connectors are seated properly. i believe I followed the manual properly in the assembly.

I cannot figure out what i did wrong.

Any suggestions ?

Update 10-13-15.

SeeMe CNC was kind enough to send me new LCD kit without charge. Everything is working well now. All the calibrations have been made. I have been busy making the fan shrouds and hope to make some neat Halloween pieces. I am blown away at the accuracy of the printer.

Many thanks to JJ and SeeMeCNC.

I love the Rostock Max V2. So cool. The building process was a tremendous learning experience. I am so glad I bought the kit and not an off the shelf fully assembled one from another company. For the price, nothing that i have seen comes anywhere close to this.

I suspect you've got the cabling to the LCD wrong. 99% of the time, that's why the LCD doesn't work.

That seems to be the general consensus that my cables are wrong. I took the LCD interface board off the Rambo and double checked that I believe I aligned the pins properly. Cables A and B appear to be oriented correctly as well. I removed them and replugged them on both the PCB and the LCD. This did not seem to make any difference. Customer service is trying to help me out. I probably did something wrong somewhere.

FYI, the yellow LED activity tells me the board is working - that's Repetier Firmware sending thermistor values back to the host.

While the connector on the LCD panel itself is keyed, the PCB end is not. Make sure you've got your pin 1 orientation correct. Having one or both upside down will result in the dual white lines.

What version of the Arduino did you use?
Try with Arduino IDE 1.0.5 (http://arduino.googlecode.com/files/ard ... indows.zip

I remember having issues with the latest version. Maybe it helps you too.
Oh and make sure to select the Board and the COM port

Good luck.

The issue he has doesn't involve the compiler at all.

Can you connect and send commands via computer?

I downloaded Matter Control and it can connect to the printer.
I am fairly convinced now that the LCD board is defective.
I have rechecked every connection multiple times. This is going on for 3 nights now.
Without a functional LCD the machine is a giant paperweight.

I can upload the Repitier.ino files to the board (the upload goes through in the Arduino window)

I do not think there is any problem with the Rambo board itself

Please post clear pictures of each LCD cable connection.
