updated repitier host printer wont connect

so I updated repitier host this past weekend and now the printer wont connect. I plug the usb in and here the computer recognizes it under the device manager as a Rambo board. then in repitier host I click connect and it gives me a message saying failure to connect to COM port 3. I checked the baud rates and the all match. I only have one usb port as I have a tablet. I have tried the following things

- restarting tablet
- restarting printer
- changing baud rates on both printer drivers and in repitier host to several different rates while still having driver and repitier host matching


what is my next move? I have zero idea what else it could be. I am running the most recent version of repitier host and was very confused when installing the new version due to the whole server aspect of it.
