Extruder feeding when pla setting low

Hello, just finished my build of v2 Rostock. I have really enjoyed building this.
Everything went very well, especially when i set the horizontal radius to 140 as insturcted
Problem is setting Matter control to pla, and setting hotend temp to 150c, the extruder still extrudes in manual.
I found this when checking for proper rotation.
If I understand correctly this should not happen until it reaches somewhere around 180c.
If I overlooked this in instruction manual please head me in right direction.

That's actually ok. I've seen working ranges of PLA from 150 (or so) all the way out to 210. It all depends on the manufacturer and the batch of plastic. This is why it's a good idea to keep a profile of each roll instead of generic, catch-all PLA & ABS settings.
When I start a new roll, I'll name it something like "SeeMeCNC ABS RED - 08/12/15" - that tells me who made it, what color and what date I put it into service. I tag the roll with the same label. When I run out, I change the date on the profile and tweak any settings as needed.

Gene, I think what the OP is saying is that with the hot end heated to 150 the manual controls are still functional - i.e. trying to push the filament. I think he's referring to the low temperature cut-off in the firmware that prevents extrusion at low temperature.

ahh, ok. Well if it's even 150.1, that would be enough to be hotter than the low temp extrusion level.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what that was and I am at work so no printer to check.

mhackney; Very well said that is exactly what I was trying to say, following is from instruction manual V3
Go to the CONTROLS pane in MatterControl and click the “PLA” button that's in the
“Extruder Temperature Override” box. The hot end needs to be heated in order to perform this next
test. The reason for this is that the firmware is designed such that it will not permit extrusion if the hot
end is cold.
Once the hot end has reached the target temp (190C in this case), click the “E+” button to
extrude some filament.
My temp was 150c and it still extruded, direction was correct. Even did a power down. Same thing.
