Hello From Portugal

Hi, everyone.
I'm Micael, I'm from Portugal, I'm a programmer and a electronics hobbyist, and I just ordered a rostock max V2 from robosavvy which should arrive before the next weekend if all goes well.
I have been 3d printing for a bit over 1 year now, I currently have an aluminium reinforced prusa i3 (a prusa like the makerfarm but with aluminium instead of wood), which I got to say got far better results from it than what I ever expected when I purchased it, however I have been wanting a delta since a few months after I got the prusa, and after numerous prusa upgrade delays because "I'm going to get a delta one of these days soon", I have finally decided to bite the bullet and get one (next step, find new excuses to delay upgrades XD).
Also apparently people tend to ask questions in the introduction section, so not to escape tradition I will put some questions that I have regarding the printer.
Besides reading the manual carefully, and making sure to take my time to properly mount and calibrate the printer, is there anything else that maybe the manual doesn't mention that I should be aware of, like some tools that I should have to better calibrate the printer?
On my prusa I installed cork bellow the heated bed to help it heat up faster, and I still have quite a bit of cork left, is there any issue with doing the same with the rostock max v2?
I would like to avoid soldering cables if possible and instead use connectors, is there any type of connector that is more advisable (be it due to size or efficiency)?
Never had a non metal hotend, but since the Rostock max v2 comes with a plastic one, and people in general seem to be somewhat pleased with it, will probably give it a go before inevitably turning to an all metal hotend (due to the temperature limitations), besides turning the temperature too high is there anything I should be aware of regarding this hotend?
Any special links regarding the rostock max v2 that I should look into, like maybe a special place where people tend to host files for it, or special calibration guides for this specific printer, that sort of stuff?
Thank you in advance.
