Spool Holder for 12"+ spools of Filament

Post by Highnitro »

Hey All,

I wanted to be able to run 2kg+ spools on my Max for big prints so here is a arm I made so they fit.

Let me know what you guys think or it you have any modifications that would be good for it.

Tidy. Personally, I got sick of the "clonk" sound every couple of minutes, particularly after a period of jamming extruder. So I went two cones and bearings. Overkill? Definitely. Yours is nice, clean and simple though: I like that.

I think my next setup with have the cones and bearings as well, I just needed something quick and dirty to get the job down for now. Did you go the extra tall route too?
