Strange Stepper Error!!! Need Help!!!

So I had already completed the first fan shroud. It came out very well and the machine ran great. I started the second shroud and around 80% through it the printer shut itself off not even crashing. When i turn the printer on now the carriages act as if they don't know which direction to go, moving up and down extremely fast and in very small increments, mainly the x-axis stepper it seems. I don't know what could be the cause as there are no broken wires, everything is plugged in still, the thermistors are not def, there is nothing blocking their paths, and it was in the middle of a printing so it obviously worked correctly at some point. What are my options as i don't know what else to look for? Please help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you- Willem Kuhn

Stock power supply?
Guessing that the power supply dropped out and was super glitchy when it did so. This may have corrupted the flash memory and/or eeprom of the RAMBo. Hopefully you wrote down all your numbers during calibration. I'd suggest going back to the initial startup procedure in the manual, clearing eeprom and loading the firmware again.

Yep stock power supply, I'll give reloading the firmware a try. Thanks.

Re-uploading the firmware worked! Thanks for the very helpful suggestion.

I can't say that I've had any memory corruption from the power supply dropping out, but it interrupted several prints. I bought a dedicated 12V supply to install but got lazy and it is now getting built into another printer. The stock ATX continues to serve, but making it reliable required improving the airflow through the base of the RMV2.
