New to the Maker scene, don't even have my printer yet, but its should be on its way soon.

Any advice/changes/suggestions for the Rostock Max right out of the blocks please let me know!!!

Welcome to the Forum!
Before your printer arrives download and become familiar with the assembly manual which can be found here: http://seemecnc.com/pages/downloads

The assembly manual also tells you what tools and "vitamins" you may need to buy before attempting to build the printer.
Some people do not like to install dampeners on the step motors, others like to install the dampeners because the machine makes less noise with the dampeners in place.
If you want to check on prices of dampeners send a Private Message to Astroboy907, he has sold a lot of these to users on the forum.
To leave a private message to someone on the board, click multicolored icon on the top right that looks like a small ufo. If you click this a list of users will open. Click on the A's then click username to sort them.
Go to page 7 and you will see Astroboy907. You should right click on his name and select private messate and ask about the dampeners (you will need 3).

I have already gone over the build manual and ordered the needed "Vitamins" that I didn't already have. Also already got some dampeners coming. Printer is supposed to arrive on Monday and I can't wait!!!

You know one of the things I've found interesting is the lack of a definitive guide to calibration and .stl's to print to help with calibration. I have read through Mike Hackneys guide(maybe that is the definitive guide), but just surprised that there isn't something more "cookbook" like...Maybe that is because of the level of help this forum provides...

Anyway, I'm sure the questions will be coming!

So I got to the point where I need to square up the columns to the print bed. The heated bed seems to be high in the middle...is this normal. I remember seeing something about this somewhere but I can't find it now...dang.

Try loosening the screws holding the Onyx down then clamp the glass to the onyx and see if the glass is still high in the middle.

I actually measured this before I had the glass on...but I will loosen the screws around the edge. I guess I was curious as to why it would bulge up in the middle when there is nothing supporting the middle in the big "snow flake".

So I got my bed leveled up. Went through the calibration(took me 1hr and 40min) and have got through 4 prints... would love to show what I have printed but can't get pictures to upload to the site, just takes me to a blank page...??? Any suggestions?

Whenever you post a message to the forum a box called upload attachment is present on the left of the screen.
If you select this you will select the image you want to send on your drive.

Ya man that is what I'm trying to do and it just takes me to a blank screen. Have tried it in two different browsers on two different computers always with the same result. Is there a file size limit maybe?

Figured out the files were too large, surprised the import tool doesn't state the file size limit.

Good job figuring that out. I also did not know there was a limit on the file size or what the limit is.
