Ok well "Yay!" got the printer built and everything is working and no smoke.

I'm having a problem though have have tried for over 2 hours to fix and I cannot seem to figure it out.

I have Set the Z height on the lcd. I have adjusted the end stops and calibrated the x, y and z. but the center just will not calibrate right with the horizontal Radius.

Nothing I do seems to change it. I can jump it huge amounts and it doens't change anything. I don't know what i'm doing wrong.

I save to eeprom each time but nothing changes. I started at 130 and it comes to tight to glass and I have reduced it all the way to ever 80 and it doesn't change anything. if I adjust it .1 up 3-5 clicks had it prefect but I cannot get that Horizontal radius to work even 1 time.

Am I just doing something wrong? Any advice?


Any help would be appreciated. I'm 2.5 hours into this calibration and tried it 2 times with no luck with the radius part in matter control. It just doesn't seem like it's making a difference.

Adjust X Y Z towers to about the same resistances with the paper under the nozzle, then check the center calibration with the same method.
If it doesn't feel the exact same as the towers then you need to adjust it in the EEPROM's (Horizontal Radius)

In order to lower the nozzle, you'll need to increase the Horizontal Radius value.
In order to raise the nozzle, you'll need to decrease the Horizontal Radius value.

Once you save the change, you'll need to re-calibrate every tower again.

The flow chart on page 241 will become your friend and worst nightmare for a few hours. It's a tedious process, but has to be done.


Also, make sure you only change the by Horizontal Radius by .5 values till you get close, then go to .025 and so on till perfect.

OK so then here is the question. If i adjust the horizontal axis will I immediately see a change in the center bed macro? Or only once I adjust the towers?

Maybe i'm expecting the change to soon.

this would explain why i'm not seeing any change in the center because I haven't touched the towers.

oh no, if you change the the horizontal value and save it, then click the center macro it will be the exact same until you adjust the others.

But the X, Y, Z should be off a little bit.
