Max v2 finally dialed in

I'm posting a few images of what I've added in the last few days. It took me a bit to get PLA dialed in. You can see in the image that I had to add 3 80 mm layer fans. This has made a huge difference in the quality of my PLA prints. I salvaged 2 from the Diablotek PSU that went out during calibration, bought the blue fan from Best Buy(couldn't resist the blue!) . The bed and nozzle remain at steady temps due to a 360 fan shroud that I sourced from Jfettig on this forum. I stuffed fiberglass house insulation around the hot end before installing. This seems to block drafts quite well. The fans are just wired in parallel from the SATA pin out on my modular PSU.

The other images are of the shrouds printed for the 80mm fans. Really happy with the quality at this point!

That is a unique way to use layer fans but if it works for you then that is all that matters.
Are the fans attached to the base and if so, how did you mount them? I could not tell
from the pictures. Last question, any chance of you posting the STL for the 80mm fan shroud?

Hi Eaglezsoar,
I attached the fans with Velcro so I can move if needed.I routed the wiring under the base, it currently comes out where the lexan piece bends out a bit from the bottom base. I think I'm going to clean up the wiring and wire them to my existing layer fan wiring today.I tried several configurations before I found this, it seems to work really well so far.. Note: on the 80mm fan shroud, not my design, the holes don't match up perfectly so I used doubles stick tape.
