Extra Stuff Required?

So apart from the high temp silicone, is there anything else I need (aside from tools?).
Checked through the manual and it just seems to be this, but just wanted to make sure.

- Loctite blue (or permatex threadlocker)
- Kapton tape
- Elmer's Disappearing Purple Glue Stick
- ABS Filament (at least a couple hundred grams to be safe)
- Solder for your soldering iron
I would say that is the minimum you need besides tools and what you mention. If you want recommendations: removable connectors (for fans, hot end, etc), two additional layer fans, astrosyn dampers, and more cable ties to add tension to the arms.

Cheers, presume servo-type connectors are ok for removable connectors?
Got loctite and kapton already, not bothering with ABS at the start so won't need filament/purple glue stick, and already have a soldering iron
Do you know what fans are needed, and is there a mount I need to print for them beforehand?
Have a Prusa i3 currently, so can print the PEEK etc. - that's a point, does it have to be ABS due to the temps around the hotend? Only print PLA currently.

Yeah. The ABS is essential for printing the Peek fan and layer fan shrouds as PLA would succumb to the temperatures required. I will attach the layer shroud I used. Print the peek shroud and this with ABS on your Rostock. It is a good test for the machine and it is good at printing ABS off the bat.
Not sure what servo-type connectors are, but any polarized connector that is secure and adequate for power would be good. I would also recommend some 22 or 26 gauge wiring for the hot end thermistor instead of the supplied 18 ga.
Get the squirrel cage fans from SeeMeCNC. I haven't found a better place to buy them from than them.
http://seemecnc.com/collections/parts-a ... blower-fan get two additional of those if you want really good cooling for PLA. Also print two additional fan shrouds.

Purple glue stick works with PLA, get some. Best thing I have found for PLA.

You'll need a couple of butt splices for the resistors. As for connectors, I'm using 2 prong JST connectors for my fans, and a Deans connector for the heater cartridges on my hotend.

Yes! I knew I forgot something. Thanks Mac!

Cheers guys - looks like I'll need to buy some ABS then.
It's literally just arrived now, it'll be a slow building as waiting on crimpers, silicone etc.
I wonder if I can find somewhere in the UK that I can get those fans from?

Likely. Just search for 30mm 12v squirrel cage fans. Or switch to more easily attainable fans and use a different shroud.
