support material?
support material?
Hi all, quick noobie question. I just printed out a small rc helicopter canopy from thing averse , I printed this on a Stratasys dimension printer, the canopy needed to be printed very thin and I noticed that that it printed brown support material around the white (canopy) material. This support material peeled off pretty easily with a little bending and twisting. How does the delta Max v2 deal with this as it only has one roll of filament on at a time? Does it print the support material in a sparse pattern so it can be cut away? I'm purchasing a Delta Max v2 soon and this is something I was wondering while watching my canopy print.I'm just beginning to learn about the 3d printing process after learning Form z and Rhino modeling for design/spec work, so any help is appreciated

Re: support material?
Support material paths are generated by the slicer software not the printer hardware itself.
Slic3r, kisslicer, s3d all use a little different methods for single material type of extruders.
