Super Stoked

I am an architecture student who is extremely interested in 3D printing. I used to own two 3DS printers with two other friends, but sold my portion to get my own. After a lot of research, I think I have finally found the one for me. The SeeMeCNC Orion.
My experience with 3DS is not negative whatsoever. The two printers I partly owned cranked out print after print, but what I envied the most from other students with 3D printers was the ability to customize each print and tinker with the settings.
I am not only interested in the prints, but also the printer itself. The only reason I am not going for the Rostock Max is because I don't have the time to put it together and play with settings. I start school soon and need to begin printing immediately. That being said, I do want to add modifications to explore the possibilities of the printer and learn more about them. So I have a few questions.
On the forum, a lot of the modifications are labeled for Rostock Max. Aside from the size difference, is the Orion and Rostock Max identical in every other way? So if I wanted to change hotends, add belt tensioners, or modify any other component besides the arms, I can follow directions and print pieces meant for the Rostock Max for the Orion?
Thanks for the help and I'm very excited to order my printer soon.
