Why there is no infill?

Dear all,

I am an industrial designer in Hong Kong (Asia). Rostock Max II is my first 3D printer. I like the light but strong structure of Delta printer and choose SeeMeCNC as I found that you offer products with the most competitve volume/price ratio in the market. I have received the kit a month ago and found that the on-line documentation is well written and had built the printer successfully.

The first part I printed out was the PEEK fan shroud and with satisfactory result. The next thing I try to print was bracket-like parts that should have no infill as they are just sheet like shape with 3mm thickness. However, the result was hollowed parts with a shell of 1mm thick. The config of the slice programme was just downloaded from your site without much adjustment (I just tweaked about the extruder and hotbed temp). Could you advise what's wrong?

Another interesting question relating to above: how to turn off infill function? i.e. I want to print total solid parts. I found that most of the things shown in the forums are sculpture-like with bulk volume. Could you introduce to me which group discusses such full solid (bracket-like) parts, so that I can learn from them?

Best regards,
Kenneth Lam

For a solid infill, using slicer, open config, click on the infill tab. Change density to 1, and change the pattern to rectilinear, or maybe even line. that should do it for you.
