Hello Everybody,
I am a retired technocrat recently moved to Indianapolis to be near my grown kids and grand kids. I have been in electronics since 1968 and am retired from Digital Equipment Corp. I have many interests and getting a Rostock MAX v2.0 fulfilled one of them and will help me in my many other interests. I just recently completed my build and it was a joy. I have built many kits including many from an old company called HeathKit. This one was very well created. I can not believe that the accuracy was there.

Only had a few complication on the built. I am sure they are newbie types like not seating the tower rails completely to the index screws and breaking thermistors. But I have a working machine now and I love it. I removed the excess cables from the power supply at the board and sleeved all the cables. Makes a clean install. I did not take any good pictures as it seems a better camera is needed. I also added a cable to the power supply for support of my Raspberry Pi for web support.

I will post as much as I can.

Welcome to the forum MHZathras.
I also have built dozens of the Heathkits and it was so sad when they went out of business. I was an electronic technician aboard the Poseidon Submarine USS Lafayette SSBN 616.
We have a great forum here and could use your input on a lot of the questions we get.
Good job in getting your printer up and running and we can help you with any future problems you may get.
Happy Printing!

What part of Indy do you live in? I'm around 73rd and Hoover. I built both Heathkit and Eico kits. Have you checked out clubcyberia.org yet? Nice group.

I still build Eico Kits. I have my original HF-85/HF-86 that I got when I was 16 years old in 1967. They have been refreshed from top to bottom.

Also have a stable of others 2- HF81's, several HF-12's, pair of HF-14's, an AF-4, couple of HF-20's, a fleet of HF90's/91's etc. and a corner full of other Eico stuff.

Great sound and still alive.
