For some reason my printer fails when the computer has been inactive for about 30 minutes.
The screen is set to turn off after 30 minutes.
I'm not sure if the problem is related to the power settings.
Maybe this has something to do with it?:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings\Change advanced power settings\USB settings\USB selective suspend setting\

Recently I installed a USB 3.0 driver. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. The problem only started after installing usb 3.0

Most assuredly one of the power settings is causing the problem. When using a laptop to control a printer I like to turn off ALL power settings,
the laptop is plugged in and there is no reason for power reduction settings that can blow away your print job. Have you considered printing
from the SD card if your printer has one? Hopefully the computer can write to the SD card because using USB is to slow. Just some suggestions
and wishing the best for you and your problem.

It occurred again, this time I while using my computer.
This is the error log:
http://pastebin.com/9sQRYhKN
I'm not sure if the error is in the GCODE or elsewhere.
The head crashed into the heated bed and dragged towards the X tower.
Edit: here's the gcode file used:

I had it fail when the computer was active about half-way through a print.
For some reason, the SD card is no longer readable. When I tried to mount it and open the card the display doesn't load the file menu.
Not really sure what the problem is.
Running the same gcode at 300% in dry run mode made the printer fail by crashing into the bed within 5 minutes.
