Re: Orion Delta Printer header clean?!
A picture would help.
I notice that I get some black residue on my nozzle from time to time. I can usually wipe it clean with a paper towel while the hotend is hot.
A failed print actually did the best job of cleaning my nozzle that I've seen. The print locked up and stopped moving the head, but kept extruding for a little bit before it shut off. When I found it later, the nozzle was inside of a blob of plastic that had cooled, and all of the dirt stuck to the plastic when I pulled it apart.
I'm sure it's not advisable, but the next time I need to do some cleaning, I think I'll jog the head down to about 1mm above the build plate, extrude a blob of plastic that sticks to the nozzle, and let it cool.
