still struggling with my build but need this printed. . .

I worked days getting a project built in Spaceclaim. It seems to load great into Slycer but I built my system wrong. I let a guy build it and as I watched over his shoulder, he started with misaligning my three supports; wiring most everything backwards; and something is terribly wrong with the delta arms? I will have to tear it completely down and start over :( .

But, I need this thing I built printed. Could you PM me and print it for me? It is kinda big; 6" round but only 1" tall (not solid though). It would be great if I could pay you in Bitcoin/litecoin?

Don

Where are you located? If you link the .stl file (or 3d file of some kind) someone here will be able to check it out and give you feedback.

Shoot me a PM with a link to a download of the file, NightRidr. I think I can take care of you. Let me review it first though.

I've been in comm about this as well. It's a large gear that's 8 or 9 inches across and about an inch thick (guesstimates from my slicer visualization). Solid is a full day's print, and 10% fill is 11 hours at 30mm speed.

I'm going to try it as a challenge, but I'm not sure how the ABS I have will agree with a piece that big. It might curl into a huge plastic burrito :)

This is also good motivation for me to perfect my print geometry at the outer edges of my build plate.

It may be different for objects that have stuff in the middle, but I printed several large cones with nylon (perfectly circular) and got virtually no warping (on my heated bed that go loads of warping from other parts, and on my wood bed). Theoretically you shouldn't have any issues with the part curling into a burrito, though in reality, who knows :/

And Nylon behaves differently than ABS. ABS swells and shrinks quite a bit, it's just the only thing I've ever printed with.
