Hollow cube @ 50 microns...

I decided to print the hollow cube last night, but at a 50 micron (.05mm) layer height. It took over two hours, but it worked!

The cube was printed on Orange Menace with the stock hot end and the new nozzle (.35) as well as the recently released new arm design.
I didn't do anything special with the Slic3r settings other than dropping the layer height to .05, the infill to 15% and I set the first layer height to .25mm.

That is awesome. The bridging worked too at that thickness? That's crazy.

We need something simple like the calibration cube with features that noticeably improve with lower layers. Maybe a wierd texture would do it.

No sanding at all. I may add a tiny bit of oil to them as I noticed a little bit of perimeter gap on one side.

I've seen MUCH better bridges - there's a snarl of filament in the open space on a couple of sides.

That's good news for the new builders. We all know how many hours of sanding we had to do with the older kits.
It was enough to make my arms hurt. Congrats to the team at SeeMeCNC for developing the new arms..Now they
can concentrate in getting the kit for self leveling....hint - hint.

At 50 microns I was impressed the trace wasn't so thin it snapped over the bridging area making a bigger mess. I don't have slic3r tuned like I have kisslicer either, so it may just be me :(
