Jet perforating Gun Thread protector. I work in the oil industry. Our company loads explosives into metal tubes that then go into the oilwells and shoot holes into the tubing/casing. Often we'll try to run one of these "guns" in the hole and can't get deep enough (You'd be surprised at just how clueless people are to their own well. It's a very unpredictable enviroment). When this happens, the gun comes back. We need to protect the threads from corrosion, the booster at the end of the gun from being set off (They're relatively sensitive.) and keep moisture out of the gun, although the gun will still detonate if slightly damp. The attached picture is of an almost complete thread protector, I think a loose belt killed the print so I cancelled it with about 8-10 mm left to go vertically.

Cool!! Have you seen the call out for images of practical prints on the forum? I would say this fits the bill quite well. I'll edit with the clicky.
