Lots of good ideas there. I especially like the arms and ball magnet joints. If anyone wants to find some aircraft nutplates like those on the end stop adjusters, Aircraft Spruce (
www.aircraftspruce.com) is a good place to find them.

I was going to use Dean's plugs on my hot end too! Glad someone else thought of that too.
Your extruder looks soo much simpler than the Rostock Max one. It's basically the stepper, gearbox, hobbed roller and a springed bearing to keep tension on the filament? Do you have a link to the stepper/gearbox combo?
And I love the delrin spool holder thing. But I guess you'll have to use a different one for each shape of spool.

Thanks Buddy, I know I can’t believe that the Deans connectors or not the standard. Here is the link for the geared stepper motor! I guaranty you will not find a better deal for this quality gear stepper!! I have bought quite a few motors from them.
http://www.stepperonline.com/gear-51-pl ... -p-40.html I also believe a rock solid filament feeder makes for great prints!
Have a great day Buddy!
