I am doing a rebuild on my Rostock Max V2. I have a duet wifi with display, and an HE280 that i have assembled. I also have the upgraded injection molded cheapskates and replacement ball joint arms.

I am trying to figure out how to go about the rest of the upgrade. I have made a handful of adapter cables for the different connector types on the Duet, but i am concerned that i will run into issues if i don't install the new hotend first.

Also, I do not have a housing assembly for the Duet and its 7" display. I would like it to remain on the bottom of the unit. Does anyone know of a print that might accommodate that?

I don't see why it would be an issue, but there are going to be others with far more experience with it than I.

The one thing that I can point you to, is reports of noise issues with the HE280, and the fix for it.

As an additional note, most of the noise issues seem to have been resolved with locking clips for the connector, new firmware builds, and other improvements. The main developer for the firmware seems to feel that the ferrite beads are a waste of time and effort (especially since the I2C connection is only used for setup, while there is a dedicated interupt, similar to a switch, that communicates the hit). I don't have a V3 or accelorometer to test, nor have I seen anyone actually sample the noise to check the levels, but it is unlikely to hurt to install the beads.

Thank you, do you happen to know if i need to update the firmware on the tiny board that changes the signal from i2c over to the duet compatible signal? Or is it firmware on the duet?

I will check the designs. Will probably have to print them with the guts hanging out initially, do you think that it would be a problem?

It is going to be firmware on the little board, as that converts from the I2C parameters to effectively a switch, but I was mostly referring to using it with a Rambo.

The Paneldue won't have any problems, the Duet wifi may have a few. I would point a fan at the rear of the board, and be careful with it.

I made a mount for my Duet WIfi screen to mount in place of the stock one for the RAMBo screen. It's medium crappy, but I'll get it posted. There were a couple on Thingiverse, but they were bulkier than I'd prefer.
