Bizzar nozzle temperature behavior

I've been having trouble with the dreaded "def" appearing. I put in a new hotbed and that appeared to solve the problem. Now the nozzle temperature goes wild every once in awhile with the temperature bouncing up and down up to 20 C. Sometimes it stabilizes again and other times apparently it goes def. Anybody have a similar experience? Something must be loose somewhere, but I haven't a clue. The cables are plugged in solid to the HE280 (or at least they seem to be, I check them all the time). Any help appreciated.

Stupid question, did you run a PID auto-tune ?
When you say "I put a new hotend" that mean you upgrade for an H280 ?

Yup, did an autotune. Put the codes in the initial script - I use S3D I am using the same H280 that I have been using for the last several months.

If the hot end is jumping that much, you've probably got a bad thermistor. I'd replace it.

hi ivanhandler,

I am experiencing something similar (ref. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... 2&start=25)

Did you find what the problem was?

In my case, I believe it's the temperature probe. I have to tune it though since I had skipped that step when upgrading to HE280.
