I am interested in getting a Rostock Max. I currently have a Cubify from DDD systems. I have the Rev 2 version and so far am happy with the simplicity and also the quality of prints. I would like the learn more about the machine aspects of 3D printing and believe that getting a Rostock will expose me to the details and problems with the operations.

I am considering driving from Baltimore to attend the build event and am considering make one there. I imagine the support present during the build will be invaluable and get me off onto the right track from the beginning.

If anyone who lives in PA, VA or MD would be interested in make the 11 hour roadtrip to the Midwest RepRap Festival on the March 15-17 weekend, please let me know.

Hey Dave,

I am working on my Rostock Max build right now with dual extruders and the Smart LCD Screen. I'm about 60% complete. I should be done with it well before the festival and I live in Rockville, MD. I would be happy to show it to you once it's done. I am also interedted to see what your cubify printer is capable of. I am new to 3D printers so I really don't have a benchmark to compare to. I should be done and printing by the first weekend in March.
