Hi everyone.
I alredy assembled my Rostock Max. Now Calbration. Not everything is clear for me. Heated bed is calibrated everything is parallel. When I try to move nozzle down to the one sheet of paper high it comes out it is on 361.7 mm. So i wrote it in right place in configuration.h, but what about Repetiter. What should i do since in Printer Shape dialog i can only wite integer without fraction.

Hi

The setting in repetier host has nothing to do with printer calibration. It only helps you to determine, if the part you want to print fits into the build volume of your printer. I would set it to about 300-320, as the printer needs some moving space for the three vertical carriages on top of the maximal build height. The actual shape of the max. build volume is quite complicated. But you can imagine it as something similar to a cone to the top. With x/y=0, you can move up to the full 361.7mm, the more you move the nozzle away from the center, the lower you can get maximal.

you said that the setting in printer shape tab doesn't matter for anything, so if i set the Z in printer shape tab to 600 and start print it shouldn't hit the table because it takes MAX from firmware is that right? I'm dumb or something is wrong :)

I had some trouble with this also, then the light turned on in my head. You need to adjust the limit screws so the nozzle reaches the paper just when Z reaches zero after a fresh G28. Once I figured that out, the rest was easy, if a bit time consuming. I did all three, then kept checking X, Y, and Z in sequence until none of them needed any adjustment to just touch the paper. Took me three or four times around before I was happy.

Then I realized the nozzle was loose, and I had to start all over again. :-(

Yep, for our machine with Z0 = bed level, it does not change anything. The printer shape tab in repetier host only helps to position parts on the bed (that's why Z0 = bed level is important) and to see, if the print fits into your printer shape. Zeroing (G28) is entirely done by the firmware. The machine hits all three endstops, sets this position to the max position you hard-coded into the firmware and therefrom assumes zero.
