Is there any interest from anyone in Ontario for a used Rostock Max V2 for $700.00 CAD? Mostly stock, Pei Bed, Stepper Dampeners, Custom Cheapskates.

Could you tell us more about those cheapskates?

It didn't make sense to me that the stock cheapskates pull from the sides of the aluminum extrusion so I made up these carriages. I had some left over openbuilds v-slot wheels from another project that fit in the slot very nicely. The effector weight is now balanced from front to back. I also incorporated at built in belt adjustment cam on one of the belt anchors so belt tension is super easy. Just give a twist with a 9/16 (14mm) wrench.

The shortness of the old cheapskates allowed it to rock pretty easy. The ones I made are much longer and moves smoother. The over all weight is about 50g lighter too.

Lighter? Nice, they do look heavier.

When properly adjusted, the old style Cheapskates don't move at all. That being said, the new injection molded carriages are MUCH better in every regard.

I am aware of the benefits of the the new carriages. No need to defend the old style. The ones I made are almost 2 years old.

just bumping this. I'm thinking $500 CAD.

that's not a bad deal, but i think most people here already have a printer or few,.. i'd try the reprap forums... hang out in the "cheap chinese import" section and then when they show you a picture of their imitation ramps board and arduino melted together you can offer this printer as suitable replacement for about the same price... although i did see on aliexpress deltas can be had for $160....

Yeah, I've got 4 printers, That's why I want to get rid of one. I will take less than 500 if need be.

That's a better deal than I had when I bought mine 2nd hand, and it has a lot more nice options. It is worth a lot more than what you are asking.

This is still available. Only in Ontario , Toronto area please. I live in the Peterborough area so in that radius. I really don't want to tear it down and go through the hassle of shipping. Not for $450.00.
