Just Getting Started, Need Extruder Assembly Instructons

Hello, my name is Tom. My sons gave me an H1.1 kit as a Christmas present. I have made pretty good progress with the mechanical assembly with the aid of the pdf and wmv files on the website but the extruder is a mystery. Included in the kit I received a sealed plastic bag with a number of extruder parts. I haven't opened this bag yet but I don't see anything like a heating element or a motor. Four motors came with the kit - three axes and the extruder? There is also another package labeled thermostat containing a small printed circuit board and some other small parts. I tried searching the forum but the search engine rejected searches containing the word extruder as too frequent to be useful. I would appreciate any guidance.
