What's up all,

I have been printing fine on my Rostock Max v2 for that last few months but today I tried to print something the hot end temperature won't go past 23 degrees Celsius. I have checked the wiring and checked my rambo fuses. Replaced the fuses and checked the hot end wires as well. (This is the third hot end I am using as the first one clogged up and the 2nd one the thermistor popped.)

The temperature remains the same. It's not reading a null or error or anything like that so I am assuming the thermistor wiring is ok. I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea where else I should check because maybe I'm overlooking something.

Does the LED on the RAMBO light up when you set the hotend temperature?
if it does, you need to unplug the hotend from the board, and measure the resistance across the heater connections.
It should be ~3 Ohms, odds are it'll read close to infinity, and you have a wiring issue, broken wire or open connection on the hotend wiring.
If the resistance is in the right range check the voltage on the heater terminals of the RAMBO board after telling it to heat to some temperature should be a bit less than 12V (probably closer to 11) .

What can I use to measure the resistance can I use a wire reader and also the lights on the Rambo does light up.

You'll need a multimeter.

thanks it was a loose wire at the top of my printer, I guess when I tried to make the wires longer i didnt tighten up the clamps. So just in case that doesn't happen again I just solder the wires together. Thanks for the help

It is good that Polygonhell's suggestion helped to get your printer working.
