I've been fiddling to see if I could improve the noise damping.. well after testing by releasing the stepper motors in Repetier and testing each tower independently (homing it) it turns out that ALL of the stepper motors contact the case plates on an Orion with the Astosyn dampers in place (Well on mine they do).

So on an Orion Delta you'll need to space out both the cold end plate & the filament roller plate from the main body of the machine. I used a couple of printed washers on each plate for a temporary solution but the preferred option would be a complete gasket about 2-5mm thick so the motors don't touch these plates.

So basically all the noise if from the Feed stepper now.. offsetting the cold end backplate doesn't help with that so a gasket will have to be made up at some point.

Not sure I understand EXACTLY which face contact you mean, but for isolation "washers" I urge you to consider simple rubber grommets.
Thick, cheap, readily available, etc.
A potential problem could be in getting a group of them all squeezed to the same pressure - you can usually count screwdriver turns for this (-:
Be sure to put a metal washer under the screw head - and maybe another one between the grommet and whatever the screw goes through.

If you can reach, slide a metal spacer under all 4 sides. Tighten screws until snug against the spacers, then loosen each just enough to pull out the spacer.

The spacers im on about are simply spacing out the bolt on side panels so they don't touch the backs of the motors.

You have probably fixed this by now, so what I am about to type may be too late.

This may not work out for you in UK, but a 3 pack of these for ~$40 could save others some hassle.

Hmmm, I would think those short motors would not have enough torque, looking at the spec sheet here

Says they have 26 N cm of torque, If I converted it correctly that is only 37 oz in ... I think the SeeMe motors have 60-70 oz in
So I do not think they will work for the X Y Z motors?

I should have admitted to not having checked specs.
Lulzbot suggest them for extruders, though I don't now through what gearing.

BTW I haven't done the f=ma arithmetic either, but maybe my super light trucks need less f to a them.

Yeah I'd looked at Astrosyn as they do various sizes and are UK based.

But as far as I can tell the smaller body ones many not have enough Torque.. 39mm body are 230-420 mNm compared to the ~48mm (same as fitted to mine) are 300-580.
No idea if 230-420 is enough for the XYX?

I've essentially discovered why my feed is really noisy in comparison to everything else, the bolt on MDF is cracked right through that the cold end mounts to, so that's where the loud rattily and worsening noise is coming from. It's only being held together by the surface laminate.

I've contacted SeeMeCNC and sent them pics to see if it's possible to get a replacement plate.
