They might but they may be too soft. Delrin is a perfect material for this. It holds its dimension and is naturally "slippery" and won't wear the aluminum rails. The airsoft pellets my kids have are molded in 2 pieces and have an obvious seam. At $3.50 for 100 to get the right thing it really isn't worth experimenting.

I did the math too, but I wanted plenty for experiments once I replicate the original design. Whether I actually build a mini-kossel or something else with them remains to be seen.
I'd consider switching, but that would drop the rest of my Amazon order below the free-shipping threshold.

(edit -- and, as often happens, Amazon has now updated it's initial delivery estimate. Now it's less than a week.)

I printed one last week as a test and they are surprisingly good, you can unfortunately feel the start of the print loop, they are LOUD and they are very sensitive to preload, but by far the best printed bearing I've tried

Cool. I was going to try the printed one and then machine one in aluminum if needed. The idea is simple and cool.

Michael, I have the glass that came with the mini kossel kit and it is about 7" in diameter.
Are you building a larger than standard mini kossel that will accept the 9" diameter glass?
(Will work great on my Orion)

No, mine is the standard size and the 9" plate fits on it fine. I do need to design some mounts/clips for it though since none of the normal ones will work.

I just slid the standard mounts over towards the towers rather than on center to handle the larger diameter.

Apparenty quite a few people have bought this pan for 3d printers.

Amazon recommends that I buy some of those brass hose fittings along with it.

Yeah, get the brass hose fittings, you apparently need them! For me, Amazon recommended Rogain, not sure why since I have a full head of hair!

Seriously though, the glass in this pan rocks! It is a great deal.
