Heater Decoupled

Hi,

I decided to replace my nozzle today (HE280), and ended up taking apart my hotend to take a look inside and clean it. I accidentally snapped a thermistor lead, so I had to replace it with a spare. I was able to print a test cube no problem, but now after a few minutes of preheating I am getting a "heater decoupled" error. Any ideas where I should look first? Redo my thermistor solder joints on the board?

Check the hot end main cable first...it might not be in all the way.

I got the same error when my 280 thermistor snapped due to the hot end ramming the bed. Heater decoupled error happens when the Rambo can't get a steady reading for a few min or it keeps going up or down not following the output. Ohm it with the cord unplugged very far off 100 and you have a bad solder or thermistor

i get a 108k ohm when i measure mine unplugged. is that broken then? I get the def on the printer as well when heating extruder.

108K is fine for room temperature, implies your room is a bit below 25C.

Check your hot bed, and make sure you have the right thermistor plugged in to the correct spot. It could also be losing connection whenever it starts to heat up

And check the connections to the ceramic heater, if it's not heating up it will give you a heater decoupled, but a def error is thermistor open
