Hello,
I just upgraded my Mattercontrol to operate my Rostock Max V2. Of course you have to upgrade the firmware and go thru all the calibration steps. Well now my printer when going from home position to the hot bed is momentarily stopping and then it heads on down, it addition, the stepper motor that forces filament to the extruder is acting up and going crazy, which causes the printing to stop after the first layer is put down. It revs up to some high speed and goes crazy. I've tried to throttle it down by playing with settings, but it does what it wants. After settling down, it runs too slow to push enough filament thru the jet, so I totally at a loss on this one. I'd like to go back to an earlier version of Mattercontrol an get things going good again. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Cris

I don't know what you've got going there, but MatterControl has NOTHING to do with the calibration, nor the firmware.

Re: Updated to Mattercontrol 1.30 and having strange issues
The pause on the long vertical move might be normal, I'd have to see it. It's a function of the firmware not having enough cycles or space available to break the move into sufficient small linear moves.
My best guess on the extruder, is some thing in the startup gcode, I've seen similar behavior when there is a missing G92 E0 which is causing a small move to return to an earlier absolute position.

Thank you all for replying, perhaps I was a bit tired after a 16 hour day and didn't word my question properly, so I'll explain the Mattercontrol issue: Under "options" one can access "EEprom Settings" and enter values required, such as Ext1 PID values, etc., that is what I was referring to, your right, Mattercontrol has nothing to do with any of this. I guess I'd like to go back one upgrade of the firmware if it is still available.
Thank you,
Cris
