Noob Question

Post by Gundy1024 »

So I have what may be a stupid question but I can't seem to find the answer here so far. In matter control it shows my bed size as 150mm which equates to 5.9 inches. Should I have this set to 279mm being 11 inches? I notice that when I make prints they end up taking up a lot less space than matter control is showing they will which has kept me from trying bigger prints. Sorry for the noob question.

I tried to use MC, but the way it rotates the model is awful.
That made me uninstall it :P

I've seen mention of using Repetier-Host in a couple places now, outside of these forums. I am hesitant to switch control programs, but I do get frustrated with MC. How easy is it to convert to using Repetier-Host, since I am still fairly new to the game? Tincho85 I'm pinging you on this, since you seem to have had the same thoughts and then made the switch.

The old version of the assembly manual details the way to set up Rep Host. I'll attach it here.

Oh no.. I never actually used MC. I tried to, but quit once I rotated a model.
If you have the time, give it a try. The link from Mega.nz is the complete guide with Repetier-Host.
