Hello,
I've been printing with my Max V2 using ABS so far, and having pretty good results with the exception of large prints pulling up on the edges. In this case, I'm trying to print a case for my Raspberry Pi and have found that when getting up along the sides if there is a narrow section or bridge, I'm having layer separation and the material is very brittle and little sections just break off. The base (against the build plate) and long sides hold together very well. I'm using a .5 mm nozzle, .2 mm layer height, 228 degree hot end, 80 degree build plate, and using the normal settings found with MatterControl. In addition, I'm using hair spray for holding the model down to plate. Should I be using PLA instead or another material, or are my settings wrong. Thickness of side walls of model are approx .060" (1.5mm).

If you have problems with layer seperation,,, you either have to slow down, or increase the temperature of the hotend. The new layer being laid down has to heat the layer below it to fusing temperature.

Here are my settings:
Fill density = .22
Infill speed = 40 mm/s
Inside perimeters = 40 mm/s
Outside perimeter = 35 mm/s
Support material = 40 mm/s
Bridges = 60 mm/s
Minimum print speed = 5 mm/s

Well today I decided to try a different approach since I could not get all thin extruded parts to print right, I decided that either the models I was using were defective or there was other factors at play. I printed a small plastic case to hold my Rpi and two the 1/4" diameter standoffs printed really good while the other two were easier broken off and crumbled. I'm not understanding how this is possible on such a small case, maybe 2.5 x 4.0 inches. Never the less I've tinkered with several settings and cannot the the plastic to adhere. The rest of the case is holds together very well and looks good.
Any suggestions?

try print it again with 0.1 mm layer height and about 235c hotend temp

Well I decided to switch over to printing with PLA, so I programmed a test part with thin wall sections, bridges, etc.. The PLA prints great and thin wall sections are strong. Only trouble I'm having is when the extruder motor reverses I'm getting a lot of material that is going to have to be trimmed off. Can someone point me to what would be better settings for PLA? I've seen some nice parts made with it, but this one is pretty rough.
