3D Printer or Router?

Pause print to use calipers to figure out if brand new Orion was printing accurately
Unpause print and what was once lovingly known as Z Axis 0 was then likely a foot or two under the table.

Full steam ahead into and across the glass. STOP button did nothing.

It made a fabulous noise lmao...

Nozzle seems to be the only damage - SeeMeCNC guys making it right already :) I'm going to like this printer lol.

Yeah, the pause and resume works randomly. It has been a problem from the begining. Not sure why they can't fix it. I wish they'd spend some time on an auto calibrate routine. There are deltas out there that have it. I wonder if they hide behind the open source firmware?

Not a scratch; was pretty impressed by that heh.

I guess that the benefit of having belts and weak steppers over screw drive and some bigger NEMA's ala CNC mill lol - harder to break stuff.

JJ's reply to me via my original email support request:
Typically I print any long print (longer than 2 hours) via the SD card. If I have a shorter print, or one that I want to pause in the middle I print straight from the host software without the SD card. Pausing when printing via the host software has never failed me.
Will definitely keep that in mind :)

Just realized that when this happened it shifted the glass build plate a good quarter inch off center heh; didn't even notice it wasn't aligned anymore.

same result at me!

my RMV2 lost his Z height ( im search for the problem ). i recalibrate the height and want to calibrate the 3 towers and click the macro. The extruder want to reach the Z0 300mm under the bed. Result is: i order 2 new 0.5 nozzle and for tests a 0.35 nozzle ^^
