MAX V2 stop working any time he want

Post by darkjorik »

I don't know what to do.
MAX 2 can stop working in any time without any reasons.
Just stop in a 10% , 30% ,60% model not completed.
No have any warnings. Looks like working but no movement

Hi,
Does it switch off completely ie no power at all or is it still powered on but just stops moving? Does it reset itself when it stops and is it running tethered to the computer or from SD card? If it stays on after it stops is the hotend fan still running and does it keep the bed and hotend heated? More information would be great, it might help to diagnose your problem.

its look like press on "pause" but without pressing. Running with computer. I cant move MAX2 by computer with this problem, but can push a reset button on printer, works fine, all towers return to upper position.
Not all fan installed , I dont know running or not .I'm still not finishing second fan. I try print it 5 time !

Instead of printing from the computer, Have you tried loading the file on the sd card and printing directly from it?

Ok if you select the file it should automatically set the temp and start heating for you and then it will start printing once it has got to the right temp. What slicer are you using, sometimes depending on slicer for some reason it doesnt set the temps they just remain zero so you have to have your slicer set up properly. I'm using Cura mainly as its easy and produces nice clean prints.
Here is where to download: http://software.ultimaker.com/
Here is an ABS profile to get you started:
ROMAX ABS High.ini
(9.7 KiB) Downloaded 292 times
Here is my start G-code:
G21
G28 ; home all axis
; BEGINNING OF HEAD MOVEMENT WARNING TONES
M120 S4 P10
G4 P40
M120 S4 P10
G4 P40
M120 S4 P10
G4 P40
M120 S4 P10
G4 P40
M120 S4 P10
G4 P40
M117 KEEP HANDS AWAY
G4 S3
; END OF HEAD WARNING TONES

And end G-code:
M104 S0
M140 S0 ; turn off bed temperature
G28 ; home all axis
M84 ; disable motors
; BEGINNING OF PRINT FINISHED TONES
M117 PRINT FINISHED
M120 S6 P10
G4 P40
M117 WAIT UNTIL COOL
G4 P40
M120 S6 P10
G4 P40
M120 S6 P10
G4 P40
M120 S6 P10
G4 P40
M120 S6 P10
G4 P40
; END OF PRINT FINISHED TONES

If you download cura and copy paste those start and end g codes into it and starting with that profile set it up the way you want it and then go "File>Save GCode" and then save it anywhere on your PC and then copy it across to the SD card, insert in the machine and just go to the "SD Card Menu>Select File" on your rostock and it should automatically start heating the bed first, then the hotend then it will beep a bunch of times and start printing. See how you go once you try that, best answer I can give anyway, maybe someone else has an easier way lol
