So this guy figured a way to give a numerical value to belt tension. Using frequency and some math you can get pretty close to the actual tension. Might be useful for improving quality consistency between everyone's printers?

That guy is super smart and kudos to him for figuring all that out, but I don't see the average user really doing this.
Could we just take the lazy man's approach and rig up a hook scale to the top idler pulley for a much faster, more direct measurement?

How about just download a "guitar tuner" app for your smartphone? Just "tune" your belts to match each other.

The way I was thinking, one person figures out the frequency for the proper tension, goes through all the steps to find out the right tension for the belts and what frequency that it gives off when "strummed". Now its super easy for everyone to figure it out. Everyone has a mic, everyone can download a free program to find the pitch. After that its just pitch matching, like a guitar.
