Hi guys, Just ordered a Rostock Max yesterday. This is my first entry to 3D printers and I'm really excited about the whole thing! One of the main reasons I purchased this one is that I get to build it. I'm more mechanical oriented than software, but it seems there is plenty of support here. My main hobby is multirotors so I'm used to building this type of stuff and hopefully this will allow me to make some of my own parts moving forward.

Re: Hi from Northern California
A big 3d printer like the Rostock is great for making model parts. If you're doing multirotor stuff, I recommend using a small nozzle to keep the parts dimensionally accurate. Especially rotor blades and spinning parts!
Since FFF printers like these can control the internal density of printed parts, you will be able to make very stiff, very lightweight parts for your choppas. Good luck, and like Eagle said, show us pictures!

Check out the Tri hotend!
