failed bunny

Post by gaexcalibur »

I forgot a picture of the bunny but I am having layers split on large pieces, small stuff works perfect every time but large items I am getting serious layer separation so here are the settings
; layer_height = .2
; perimeters = 5
; top_solid_layers = 5
; bottom_solid_layers = 3
; fill_density = .3
; perimeter_speed = 30
; infill_speed = 30
; travel_speed = 200
; nozzle_diameter = 0.5
; filament_diameter = 1.75
; extrusion_multiplier = 1
; perimeters extrusion width = 0.45mm
; infill extrusion width = 0.45mm
; solid infill extrusion width = 0.45mm
; top infill extrusion width = 0.40mm
; first layer extrusion width = 0.60mm

bed temp 85
nozzle temp 235
printing with abs
no layer fan
no bed adhesion issues, elmers works very well for me so far piece does not move no matter what.
my major problem is the layers splitting apart while printing so any advice is welcome. when I get home tonight the project will be done so I can get a picture.

Travel speed 200? you might need to slow that down a little like maybe to 50 - 60 mms.

Travel speed can be that high - it's the rapid movement from place to place while extrusion is not occurring.

My default speed is that high 200 or 250mm/sec.

With a .5 nozzle, I believe that all the width settings should be .55mm.
Someone correct me if I am not correct.
