Onyx Bed max temp

Post by Ashade »

I swear I searched around but...

What is the max temp you think the Onyx can hold? I mean, I am heating it with 24V (19 actually but anyway...) and I was considering start printing with polycarbonate. Honestly, it prints pretty well at 110ºC but I was considering raising it to something in between 130 and 160ºC and I was wondering if any of you had any experience with that before... Would it blow up?

I highly advise not going that high. Take a look at this from the Ultimachine site about their PCB heated bed:
The base material of this PCB can withstand 150°C. However, a maximum of 120°C long time is recommended.
