Re: Prozacs Max Build
Have the extra bearings from where I didnt use the axle supports , so I decided to model up a better spool holder. Realized that I could have just made end caps now and save material but well see how this fits.

Got the spool roller going smooth , had to sand a little for the bearings.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Looks like a good idea, I know mine has been printing beautifully since I switched to a spool holder with bearings!

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Very nice and I like that fan you put on the door to cool the Rambo.
Re: Prozacs Max Build
Thanks , I decided to change up a little on the Rambo cooling , added a 80mm fan blowing on the rambo and moved the smaller one to exhaust out.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Can the door close in that configuration?
Re: Prozacs Max Build
Yeah perfectly and vents the hot air out through the notch. Just hot glued untill I print a mount.
Re: Prozacs Max Build
Well I ran another 4 wires down the extrusions for a light ring upgrade/mod to show , should have recorded was funny, I forgot to resist the 5v supply and I watched the 6 leds count down to death , lol.
Heres me testing before install.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Well got off work and took the time , so I woudnt forget the most important part , the resistor. So I wired 6 led 3.5v to the 5v supply on the PSU using a 39 ohm resistor. Heres some pics!

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Thanks. I just got some color in , ordered from Justpla.com because seemecnc was out of the PLA trans purple. But I got Green ABS and Trans Purple PLA Fast shipping.
Need to make a spool adapter for them , when I get off work.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Good to know , Im looking forward to Laying some PLA down and seeing what kind of results I get.Which reminds me I need to get this PLA Fan mounted and wired up.
Re: Prozacs Max Build
Well here's my first PLA print with a matching ABS I printed awhile back. Pla shifted towards the top not sure why.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Well its been awhile , Ive been struggling with random layer shifting , and after tons or wasted time in denial that the extruder stepper wires and endstop had anything to do with it. Mainly after 50 hours of printing I didnt have any problems untill I change filament. But that was the problem I remove the wires from the extrusion and no more layer shifting. I now would like to stress how Noise can effect printing , I should have listened but thought I could beat it.
Little holder I made for work.

BTW Ive been having really good adhesion results with abs on bluetape.

Re: Prozacs Max Build
Well after printing some more encloser pieces I decided to take a break switch it back and try out some more justpla trans purple and print a twisted vase, heres the results. No layer fan , but the breeze in this room is tornadict, window unit and ceiling fan on low.
