Adventures building the Rostock Max

Post by ~/brent »

Yesterday, I met with John Oly at Tekserv in NYC after an impromptu IRC chat leading to a PM leading to us meeting leading to me obtaining a Rostock Max (white)....phew

For those of you who have purchased a Rostock Max before, the box is quite heavy. Unfortunately I went into the city by train, so the printer went a few blocks (and a few breaks to catch breath) and down the stairs of penn, down the other flight of stairs, and down one more flight of stairs into the train. Luckily for me, Saturdays are usually the quietest days to take the train so I had room for the printer.

Here is the Rostock taking the railroad. It takes up two seats. It also stole my window seat.

As always, thread will be updated as the build comes together. I am a student, so this thread won't be updated every day.

We haven't heard from you in a while, how is your build coming? If you have some pictures we would love to see them.

Same user checking in here. I'm prepping some pictures along with the time lapse. I have a lot of schoolwork, and this is 2nd on my list.

Thanks for the reply, and I understand how hard it is too find time to do things. We'd love to see the pictures but it can wait until you have the time. Your education should always
come first. I can't imagine how you carried that heavy box by yourself. Remind me not to get you mad at me.

Little update, nothing substantial (yet). Bought these puppies. Can't wait to install them.
