Switch to 3mm?

Post by Jimustanguitar »

I was reading a post by lazerusrm earlier about how many of his problems were resolved by switching to 3mm filament ( http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... ing#p13035 ).
Has anyone else done this and noticed an improvement? I've always considered the 3mm/1.75mm thing to be personal preference, but perhaps there's a practical difference too?

there are differences in extrusion pressure which also effects prints somewhat.. but I think it's really a matter of personal preference and setup. I've seen nice prints with both setups..

So it's like the difference between Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, both can destroy Tokyo just fine, it just depends which monster you want to fight?
