oops I missed this one in my PM's. The fan mount was from os1r1s. I have asked him to share it. He is going to put it on his github. I will remind him again :) As soon as he does I will link it on the first page.

with bridging it is important that you have your flow rate and nozzle size specified correctly. I always go about 10% higher for nozzle size (extrusion width). So for 0.5mm nozzle I specify it as 0.55mm. Just for fun try setting your extrusion width to 0.7mm and see how that affects your bridging.

Xnaron- What is the inside diameter the boom end supposed to be? I seem to have an XY scaling problem, or part of it may be shrinkage of ABS. My ID came out to .362 in. and I would think it should be closer to .375 in. I can't fit the magnets in without drilling first, and that creates an issue with the bottom of the hole.

How come you have to use 6 arms with deltas? Wouldn't 3 (magnetic) arms do the job?

While three arms and thus three points would define the plane of the effector (print platform), I would think that with only three arms, the effector would still tend to rotate about the vertical axis.

You could use just 3 arms if the joint you used made it impossible for the arm to rotate relative to the tower and relative to the platform in practice it's hard to get enough rotational stiffness with a single arm, so pairs are used.

I wanted to be able to print at a finer resolution so I built a 0.35mm J-head effector for the Magnarms. This one has a 30W heater cartridge. I turned retraction down from 4.5mm to 2.5mm. The results are amazing.

Xnaron,

You wouldn't have a dxf file of the effector mount would you. I want to mill one out of aluminum instead of the printed parts. I drew one up base on your photos/stls but i dont think its correct.

If you are able to fabricate the effector from aluminum, I would be interested in two.
I would be interested in aluminum cheapskate mounts also.

Make sure you get a good connection with jb welding the 3mm cap screw to the ball bearing. I had one come off during a print. I had properly prepped the ball bearing and screw with acetone and cured under a lamp.

No damage, but a mess of a print. In repairing it, I was able to use 320 grit sandpaper to sand through or at least abrade the section of the chrome surface of the ball where the cap screw is attached. I am hoping that will make for a better connection.

It looks like the only problem would be if a cheapskate dropped below the effector, which shouldn't happen under normal use.
