I finished my RMax v3.2 kit build this week. Was a lot of fun.
After running a few prints I just started receiving a heater (bed) fault. The temp will steadily climb then the reading goes parabolic.
When I look at my thermistor glass bead I think it looks different now, like it has something cloudy inside it, although I’m not sure. I’ll attach a pic for reference.
Can I test it with a multi-meter?

Re: Heat bed fault
Yes, you can test a thermistor with a multimeter. There are a few things to check. Make sure it is not shorting to the edges of the hole, that the solder joints are in good shape, and that the thermistor itself reads approximately 100K at room temperature.

Re: Heat bed fault
Xeno, you were spot on. It must have been grounding itself to the bed. Since re-centering the probe all is well.
Thanks for the assist!

Thanks SVG. My depression was increasing and luckily I saw your comment and problem are solved. I bought a new multimeter after reading a review from the best multimeter reviews website. It was from fluke brand. I thought this was a multimeter issue and it is not providing the accurate result. After re-centering the probe my problem was solved.Xeno, you were spot on.
