Hesitation to print

Post by redtank »

Hello,
Been using my Max V2 for two years now with no issues. The last few times I've printed a job the there is a 10 to 15 hesitation for the 3 stepper motors to send the hot end down to the bed. To describe better, when temps are reached, machine homes all three towers and then pauses for a while, after 10 to 15 seconds the hot end travels down as usual. This happens regardless of percentage of speed I set under "Printer Settings". I first thought there was a jam, but the skates travel with ease. There is no sign of struggle while being paused.... Any one have an idea of what may cause this?

Thanks!

Hotend usually pauses at the beginning of the print of the bed or hotend temps are not close enough to what is set in the print.
If the hotend is at say 230c and the print calls for 235c it will wait while heating the hotend.

MIght be worht double checking the temp on the prints vs what you're holding the hotend at.
