Re: Strange Oozing/blobbing during prints on Max V3

ok, I gave the printer a needed servicing (belts, motors) and checked the hot end. I did find signs of filament oozing from the hot end. I cleaned that up and then found the hot end was loose. I tightened it in place as best I can and am printing right now. if I still have the issues I'm going to ...

Re: Strange Oozing/blobbing during prints on Max V3

Here's a clip showing this happening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX_blE6vNCU This is from octoprint/octopi taking images on z-change right around a blob showing up. clip is only 2sec long I am disappointed in the video quality, was hoping I would see something forming on the hot end and I'm not ...

Strange Oozing/blobbing during prints on Max V3

I am having an issue that's just recently developed. while printing I'll get (for lack of a better term) oozing of filament. (see photos) this occurs suddenly, it's not a build up of filament. I go from nothing to a blob in a single pass maybe 2 passes. This is on a Max V3, been printing fine for ...

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

spent time working with JJ on my problem and after trying everything with the HE280 believing it to be clogging. turned out the EZR was the problem. I've gotten a bunch of spare parts (firmly believe in having spares of everything I can). So I replaced the EZR with another and the chewing up ...

Re: Raspberry Pi power

I moved my Raspberry PI to a dedicated power source and have not had a random/lost connection since. Has anyone else encounters this? lack of comments kind of tells me no on has. I'm looking at 2-3 alteratives for power 1 use a DC-DC convertor 12v to 5v @ 2.5 amp (taking this approach for now) 2 ...

Raspberry Pi power

Hello I've been experiencing random reboots of the Raspberry PI in my MAX V3. I think I've traced it down to power supply. Looking at how power is supplied the Raspi I took a look at the schematic of the Rambo looking for the power section Power.JPG What you have is a LM22675 supplying 5V for the ...

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

when you say grinding, is the teeth skipping over the filament? So the filament is stuck and the teeth repeatedly grinds until it breaks? Or does the filament fall out of the grooves in the extruder causing it not to align When I say grinding I mean it sounds like it's chewing up the filament. it ...

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

oh, that doesn't sound good.
I got one good print last night, no grinding. then started one this morning and it sucked, grinding from the start.
I'll check it when I get home and clean it fully this time and check if the Bowden tube moved

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

HI, Well this is my first post and I'm having this same issue. I did clean my hub gear off and reseated the bowden tube in the hotend. After reseating it I measured and it was ~45mm for it to bottom out, checking before it was in about 35mm. Now I have not done the cleaning up the hotend as above. I ...
