That's much better for me - actual is 93-96% of predicted.

I also see pretty wide variation in the time estimates from MC. Everything takes about 25%-60% longer to print than predicted. I've gotten used to that, but it kind of confuses me - where is that time coming from? It can't all be lost in communication overhead.

Again from 626Pilot: Mounting it up top makes it harder to see what it's doing, and at least on my printer, encouraged jamming. Possibly a heat issue. When it's mounted below, there's nothing next to the hot end to trap any heat. This doesn't seem common, though, so I'm trying to decide which to do!

I don't know if a "not me" reply is useful, but I've never seen anything like that with the latest MC.

It seems like there are a lot of distinct things that can cause stringing. The world needs a good automated 3D printing troubleshooter!

I have no doubt that different filament brands (and lots, and spools) vary in quality in various ways. And I agree, some spools just seem like bad news - though I still generally assume that I have some settings wrong. But, I also see that I sometimes get a great print from a spool, then later on ...
